An enamelled plate on three small legs, 16 cm, with the triple moon in gold on a deep blue night sky: waxing, full and waning.

About this piece

An enamelled plate on three small legs, 16 cm, with the triple moon in gold on a deep blue night sky: waxing, full and waning. The symbol is loved in modern witchcraft and Wicca. Heat-proof for spell candles and incense: set a candle in a drop of its own wax and it stands.

From the ritual New Moon Pages

  1. I

On the new moon, warm the foot of one mini candle with a match and set it in a drop of its own wax on the plate. Light it and one stick of incense.

  2. II

Draw a card. Let it suggest the wish, then write the wish in your own words.

  3. III

Let the candle burn down, about 90 minutes. Stay close and never leave it alone. One candle, one page, every new moon.
